Our Products

Single Crystal Diamond Plate

Single crystal diamonds are a process of growing the diamond material layer by layer. They are grown from a gas through the microwave plasma chemical vapour deposition method. Single crystal diamond plates are valuable for quantum communication devices, quantum sensors, deep UV detectors, single-photon detectors and high-energy particle detectors. Lower purity grades of single crystal diamonds are also helpful in mechanical tool development.

Polycrystalline Diamond Plates

The growth of polycrystalline diamond plates takes place in the form of multi-orientation giving it the characteristic polycrystallinity. These are grown over a non-diamond substrate via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. As these diamond plates undergo polishing, they become optically translucent and even transparent. These properties of polycrystalline diamond plates makes them valuable for optical windows, heat spreaders, tool coatings and electrochemical electrodes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get insights on lab-grown diamond plates, their benefits and solutions to demanding industrial applications:

Can diamond plates help in quantum computing?
With their ultra-wide bandgap and excellent electrical properties, diamond plates are well-suited for semiconductors, power electronics and quantum computing. Lab-grown diamonds are grown via controlled development of NV-centers which enables the ability for quantum communication and sensing.
What is the difference between polished and unpolished diamond plates?
Polished diamond plates have low surface roughness which provides surface uniformity and enhances performance in applications. Whereas unpolished diamond plates have a slightly higher surface roughness.
How are single-crystal and polycrystalline diamond plates different?
Single-crystal diamonds feature ordered tetrahedral covalent bonding structure. It is free from grain boundaries. Polycrystalline diamonds on the other hand are characterized by randomly oriented diamond grains which are separated by grain boundaries.
How can diamond heat spreaders help devices perform better?
Diamond heat spreaders improve device performance due to their exceptional thermal conductivity which stands at 2200 W/mK.
Can diamond plates keep electronics cool?
Yes, diamond plates can help keep electronics cool. This characteristic makes them ideal for use in high-power electronics and data centers.
Can we customize the diamond plates?
Yes. Our diamond plates are customizable in different sizes, shapes and thicknesses.
By when can I expect delivery?
25 to 30 days is the minimum time required for delivery. But, the final delivery timeline will vary based on factors such as customizations and business requirements.
